Incremental Solutions Supports Poppleton Junior FC Under-14s with New Football Kit and Vital Rail Safety Message

  • Incremental Solutions, a leading rail technology company with its headquarters in York, is proud to sponsor the new football kit for Poppleton Junior Football Club’s Under-14s team in York – combining community support with an important message on rail safety.

As part of the sponsorship, Incremental ensured that the reverse of the team’s shirts carries the logo of Rail Safe Friendly, its valued partner. Incremental also shared Rail Safe Friendly leaflets with the young players and their families, helping to spread awareness of safe behaviours around the railway.

This initiative reflects Incremental’s wider commitment to corporate social responsibility and its belief in the importance of rail safety education at all ages.

Why sponsor the football kit?

Railways are a constant presence in our communities. By engaging with school children, Incremental hopes to instil awareness and understanding that will help reduce risk as they grow into young people and adults themselves.  Sponsoring the Under-14s is about more than providing new shirts – it’s about giving them and their families the awareness and tools to stay safe, wherever they encounter the railway.

A partnership with purpose

Rail Safe Friendly, which works with schools, organisations and partners across the UK, aims to ensure that every child receives vital safety education. Featuring their logo on Poppleton Junior FC’s Under 14s shirts, and sharing their resources through this initiative, helps strengthen that mission.

Stuart Heaton, Director at Rail Safe Friendly, said:

“We’re delighted to see Incremental Solutions championing rail safety in such a proactive way. By supporting Poppleton Junior Football Club’s Under-14s and promoting our message to children and their families, they are helping ensure the next generation grows up with the knowledge to stay safe around the railway.”

Driving safety beyond technology

For Incremental Solutions, innovation in data and AI for the rail sector is always rooted in a mission of rail safety, efficiency, and passenger experience. Supporting community projects like this shows that rail safety is not just about technology – it’s about people.

Dan Lee-Bursnall, CEO and Co-Founder of Incremental Solutions, added:

“As a rail technology company, we are surrounded by railways in everything we do. But more importantly, so are our communities. Supporting the Under-14s gives us the chance to put rail safety front and centre for families in York, and we’re proud to help spread that message with Rail Safe Friendly.”

The Poppleton Junior FC’s Under-14s now take to the pitch this season with a smart new kit and a powerful reminder that rail safety starts with awareness – a lesson that will last far longer than a football season.
